Is the speedometer working? You have an output speed sensor code; I am wondering if the wiring harness got damaged in the accident. If you clear the codes and then turn the key on without starting the engine and then scan the car again do any codes come up?

It is hard to tell if the speedo works, can't move it, the guy brought his obd2 reader cleared and the only code is left front speed sensor. He said he thinks a break of sorts internally.

Yes, that can do it, I would replace the sensor to see what happens.

Did you do the clear codes and then turn the key on to see which codes come up? We are looking for hard codes, this is the way to do it. Also look over the transmission wiring harness to see if it is damaged and check the electrical connector at the transmission to make sure it is free from damage/corrosion.
