Well she had to have this 2003 FORD ESCAPE-Frt WD. She said it would work well in the snow when we had some (I know better, I've been a Jeep CJ Guy since 1981, on my 7th. When I got my drivers license)
Well we seldom get snow, and when we do----The entire State is disabled, it's best to remain home, cause nothing gets cleared in like. Forever
All we have is Ditches full of vehicles and "KAMIKAZE KARS" (IDIOTS WITHIN, DRIVING TOO FAST) Coming at you sideways
This is where the wife comes in. My "WARM JEEP", CJ5, just so happens to have a Transfer case issue now, and it will be a week or so to get him up and going."Willy", my '46. Is an Army Jeep w/Top--No Doors or sides (Refuses to ride in it, might get cold. But it will get there. Anywhere!)
Seems that Grand-Youngin's Birthday, SUPERSEDES ALL SAFETY WARNINGS. From me or other sources!
Ever heard stuff like this.I'M GOING OVER THERE, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! (10 MILES, IN VIRGIN SNOW AND ICE.6 INCHES). BY MYSELF, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STOP ME. HE NEEDS HIS MEMA ON HIS BIRTHDAY.
HERES WHERE I COME IN!----Subliminally Suckered in! (She cannot drive in "Perfect Conditions" much less crappy)
10 miles away."I" (catch that?)Was stuck in her Escape, on a gravel well surfaced loop driveway with 6" of snow and ice.
I managed to fight my way out, but there was some Extremely Serious FORWARD and REVERSE ACTION GOING ON!
The POOR Little Piece of "Aluminum" was driving OK for the next couple of days
Now It seems to move FWD fine, But it Over RPMs, in reverse (Does move!)--Is this a band, or have "I" smoked some clutches or something
What must "I" (catch that again?)Do to maybe inexpensively "Make It Better"
I saw no Obvious Dangling Stuff, and it's maybe 1/4 to 1/2 Quart low on Tranny Juice (I really don't think thats the issue!)
I am mechanical/ have much mechanics tooling and have the Haynes Repair Manual.I am a Plumbing Technician, with older vehicle experience
PLEASE PERFORM MAGIC---SHAKE ME AND WAKE ME UP!
Please sorta hang with me, if I can fix this myself. Evil Female seldom hold my hand, CAN YOU MAYBE HOLD MINE, TILL IT'S FIXED!
The Medic
That's it, Hiding back behind my "REAL VEHICLE" (he's on a "BREAK" right now, but should be EZ to fix, when my parts arrive)
Seems I have all of the Luck!
'Least I can still "Pop-Sickle Around" in "Willy"
I can handle the "Set-Back" you see on the floor.
Can you handle the Aluminum Crate, I know little about?
