Thank's for the quick responce Rasmataz. I had no problems with the car the whole day before and when I parked it shut off like normal, no noise.
Like I said he repaired the water pump and the timing belt one month prior and the car ran good for that one month in till this problem.
Is it possible for the car to run good for that month and then break down because of him not installing the timing belt corectly?
I'm disabled and don't drive that much and in that month the car was working I might have put a one hundred miles on the car if that much, thank's again.

I have 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I just recently made a post about the possibility of a broken timing belt. How much on average does a timing belt repain cost? And Can a timing belt break while the car is in operation? Some one told me around 600 dollars. Could a broken timing belt cause it to not start? Sorry for the million questions. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Yes a timing belt can break during operation and if it does then the engine will no longer run. Estimate for replacing timing belt is below...

Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

my timeing belt broke on this car and I had to replace every thing. Now all the marks line up but the car will not start it sonds like it is 180 out. How would I fix this? Do I need to take off the head and turn the crank so it does not bend the vaules again. This is a dual over head cam does this make a difrence? I have checked compression on the car all of them is 120-130 and it is geting gas. Now what?

Hi there,

If the engine timing marks are aligned as per pic, check compressions, and check spark, injection pulse and fuel pressure, start here.
