There are a couple of things that can cause this. First you will have to see if your rotor is lined up with #1 in the firing position. Make sure the timing on the harmonic bqalancer is correct. Assuming you have done that, then the timing chain has either jumped one or two teeth, or the rubber has slipped on the harmonic balancer and the balancer needs to be replaced. A way to check this (balancer) is to line it up where the car will run, supposedly at #1 put a chalk mark on the balancer and hold a tiiming light to see the chalk mark. REv the engine and see if the mark moves. It should move a little due to the revs but if the balancer is bad it will move alot.
