Sounds like a plan before we start talking about internal transmission issues.

Okay, thanks.

The transmission is not going into gear.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/automatic-transmission-problems

Did you use a rebuilt or used transmission?

Did you change the filter and fluid?

Good morning,

How long since you changed the filter and fluid?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-service-an-automatic-transmission

With no gears, it could be either the filter is clogged, a torque converter failure or the front pump.

I never got to change the second sensor which is B and it's a pressure sensor, but I still had reverse when it was throwing that code. Could it possibly be the pressure sensor finally gave all the way out? But if that was the case wouldn't every gear be acting up from lack of pressure?

No, I doubt it.

Are there any codes set? If it was a sensor, it would code.

I would still change the filter and fluid.

I have not taken it anywhere since I found those sensors were bad the two shift solenoids right under the pan like I said. I changed one solenoid A it said the other one was bad as well, but didn't have the part yet. So I know for a fact solenoid B is still bad and you really believe it may be the filter? It's only 5 months old and have changed fluids twice since then. A few weeks ago when I had the pan off again the filter looked new still.

But the transmission temperature has never been over 200. Didn't hear anything last time I used reverse few hours before it went out. Still no odd noises. Is there any other sensor for the transmission besides those two shift solenoids?

Even when those two solenoids were reading bad on code reader no lights on my dash came on and still haven't. My ABS and brake light one kicks on at same time at least once a day, but I figured that wouldn't relate to my transmission.

None that will not allow it to go into gear.

If the filter is not your issue, it is internal. This is a mechanical issue, not a sensor issue.

My truck shifts into all gears, I can hear it but it doesn't move. It will inch forward but then stops. It feels as if the brakes are locked. I tried all gears and my truck starts to move but again it feels as if the brakes are preventing it from moving. I check my front and rear brakes and none of them are locked up. I even tried putting my truck in neutral with my truck off, and still nothing.

Correct. The ABS is a separate issue.

When you say you can hear it shift into gears do you mean you can hear the shifter engaging? More then likely you don't have proper internal transmission pressure.

I would suggest we start with checking for proper pressure when putting into gear.

Also, can you try putting it one of the manual gears? Meaning shifting to 3, 2, 1 and not just drive and see if it moves in one of these gears. If not then it is most definitely a pressure issue so we should start there.

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks

Okay, thanks for the help. I have to replace that last solenoid anyways so I'll pull the filter and clean it and hopefully that is it. I just feel it's too new still and had two sets of new fluid since then. But then again it doesn't take a lot of debris to throw them off.

Thank you for responding. I have spent hours Googling for some clues. Here's the thing: I can shift it into all of the gears and I have tried shifting into 1, 2, 3 and the truck feels like it starts budging forward, however it just stops like it has the parking brake set. I'll proceed to replace the pressure tap plug. Thanks again. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

You are welcome. However, I just want to clarify that the pressure tap plug is for you to put a pressure gauge in it and test the pressure in the transmission. I highly suspect you have low or no pressure which is why your vehicle is not moving. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks
