Hey guys, I was driving from the store and on my way home it just quit running with no warning. No noises sputtering at all. Nothing. I had it towed home and started checking the fuses on it. They are all good. As well as the relays I had switched out with one and another. Still nothing. I have replaced the crankshaft position sensor, ignition module, plugs, boots, and the over engine coil over. Still nothing. I had even taken the parts back to the store and switched them out just to make sure and replaced them and still nothing. I had checked compression and all great. Timing chain is still tight. I checked for lose wiring or broken wiring or bad grounds. I have power to the coils and also a crank signal also coming after the ignition module. When the car shut off and I got it home I pulled three trouble codes and they were injector two, three and four circuit malfunction. I hooked noid lights to all four injector wires and no current. When I test the crankshaft wiring with my test light I can hear the fuel pump kick on and get great fuel pressure. When I put the key into the ignition it is very hard sometimes to turn. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you guys.

So you have spark, but no injector pulse? Also, have you checked to see if you have power to one of the wires to each injector with the key in the run position? Also with the key in the run position is your security light staying on solid or flashing? So you have codes p0202 p203 and code p0204? If you clear the codes do they come right back?

If the key hard to turn it is a bad ignition cylinder.

Hey guys I am so sorry that its been so long since I have replied. I had checked the wire harness and no breaks in the wiring at all. I checked all the injector connections with a noid light and nothing. When I crank it the security light does go off. I can get the injectors and fuel pump to work when I test the crank sensor wiring connector. When the key is on the on position. Its just weird I have never came across anything like this. Thanks for all the responses to this thread.

I'm sorry, if I have the key in the run position and I hook up my test light to the crank sensor wiring connector I hear the fuel pump come on as well as the injectors come on as well. But when I take the test off of the connector the fuel pump and injectors do not work.

Have you measured the resistance of the crank sensor itself yet?

The fuel pump only runs a few seconds when you first turn the key to run and then also when your cranking the engine over. Also the injectors pluse while cranking and briefly with the key in the run position.

Correct, but something is keeping it from engaging the fuel pump and injectors. Should I to ohm the crank sensor and see what it says? Has there been issues with aftermarket crank sensors for the Saturn 2.2?

So your saying you have the brief injector pluse and fuel pump activation when first turning on the key to the run position but not while cranking with ether one while cranking? Also I have never replaced the crank sensor with a aftermarket one I have always used a factory one.I wish you had at least a little pocket code reader that would really help.

Hey I'm so sorry about all the confusion. I turn the key on to the on position and I hear nothing. But when I leave the key to the on position while I test the crank sensor wire connector then I can hear the fuel pump come on and the injectors fire up for a few seconds. I can confirm this by taking the plugs out then I can smell gas on them. I do have a basic code reader to hook up. Something has to keep the injectors, fuel pump and coils from not firing up. When I have the key on the on position I do have power going to the ignition module and coming out of the end of the module to the coils. I'm so lost with this vehicle I'm about to give up lol.

Ok here we go there is 5 codes in the computer as of this morning. P201 p202 p203 p2101 p1516. I'm not for sure what the last 2 are but the first 3 are injector cericut faults I think. I hope this helps.

So if you don't unplug any sensors clear the codes and see which ones come back from trying to start it?

I did, and those are the ones that came back on. I cleared them a few days ago and those are the ones that came back. I'm sure the throttle codes are from me having my foot all the way down on the gas pedal I'm guessing.

There is no way three injectors failed at the same time. Try this put the key in the run position and have someone watch the throttle plate while you press the gas pedal to the floor and see if the throttle plate opens?
