Good evening.

The access door is under the carpet under the rear seat. Remove the rear seat and peel back the carpet and the plate is there.

Did you check for fuel pressure?

Have you checked for spark?

Roy

REMOVAL
1. Remove the trim screws securing the rear edge of the carpet and push the carpet towards the front of the vehicle.
2. Remove the three screws securing the fuel pump cover to the floor pan.
3. Disconnect the fuel pump connector and hoses.
4. Remove the six screws securing the fuel pump into the fuel tank.
5. Pull the fuel pump/gauge sending unit out of the tank.

INSTALLATION
1. Replace the o-ring and install the pump.
2. Torque the screws to 1.4 - 1.8 ft.lbs. (2.0 - 2.5 N-m, 0.2 - 0.26 kg-m).
3. Connect the electrical connectors and hoses.
4. Install the cover plate.
5. Install the carpet and trim screws.

It is external. Follow the coil wire in the center of the cap to the other end.

Picture attached.
