Engine will not start but starter motor operates

I'll try stater fluid, but I just put a new pump. With the pump that was there when it had shorting, the engine never attempted to run and there was no strong petrol smell that am getting this time.

Okay. If you can smell fuel then I suspect it will not start with starter fluid. If not, you need to pull a plug and hold it against the block and crank the engine to check for spark.

I tried to start it with MAF sensor disconnected it failed to run then I connected the sensor back, it started with full power like magic.
The engine is now running smoothly
