The light came on right when the call shut off. I will ask my friend if he checked the spark plugs. I know the fuses were checked. Thank you

If the light came on when the engine shut off, chances are it is fuel related. Regardless, let me know the fuel pressure and if it is getting spark. Also, does the engine sound like it always did when the starter is engaged?

Okay, I have a tough one for you.

I was driving my car one day and out of no where it just shuts off and will not start back up. There was no loud noises or anything it was just shut off it has now been sitting for about three months.

Suspected problem (by other mechanics from verbal diagnosis):

1. Engine needs to be replaced.
2. The crank shaft sensor needs to be placed.
3. The timing belt needs to be replaced.

I have tried to replace the timing belt but there is no chance I can do it by my self. The entire engine needs to be lifted to do so.

No snapping blue spark, continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/COP/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer.

Cranks will not start. Changed fuel pump, new battery, and spark plugs.
What else could it be?

Do below to determine if its a fuel or spark problem:

Get a helper disconnect a spark plug wire or two and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem. Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer.

I was driving down the road the engine stalled and would not start back up. Still has power to everything but the turn signals and the radio will not turn back on. When I turn the key over the only light that comes on is the oil light. No check engine light or any other ignition lights come on.

Hi.
What I need you to do is have the computer scanned. Most of the nationally recognized auto parts stores will do it for free.

Have them check for trouble codes and get back to me. It sounds electrical.

Drove fine for three weeks and cut off again found out had two sensors so changed that one and car still will not start. Any idea what it could be?

Check to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine. Chances are one is missing. Then you will know which system to focus on. If you need directions for checking, refer to our homepage under the DIY section.
