When I started working on this car it had no fire.I diagnosed it to be the ecm. I changed the ecm with a used unit. The car fired right up and ran for 5 to 10 seconds and shut off I cycled the key and it started back and died again it done 4 or 5 times and then it stopped turning ove. I've changed the ecm 3 times with same results. I put the original ecm in and it spins over but no spark.

Either something is supplying too much power to the ECM or there is a short causing the problem. Were there any trouble codes before you started the work?

No there was no codes and would not set a code with all kind of sensors unplugged. Could this be caused by anti theft? What is flashing the ecm?

The security light will flash if it is related to the problem. As far as reflashing the ECM, basically it gets reprogrammed.
