Please, I am having this issue with my car, it won’t start but it cranks. I have these fault codes p1820 and U1000 as well as P1808. Please help me figure out how to repair this fault. I am a mechanic.

The communication code will be the problem, the others are for non-essential engine performance issues.

I would start by checking the fuses here is a guide that can help, and I have included the fuse locations as well. If all fuses are good, I would swap out the ECM relay (the ECM relay maybe interrogated into the IPDM which might be bad).

U1000: This code signifies a communication problem between the ECM and another module on the vehicle's network.

P1820: This code is related to the transmission range sensor circuit malfunction.

P1808: This code relates to the transmission 4-wheel drive (4WD) mode select switch circuit.

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
