Have some lights but it won't start

I have had my alternator replaced 2x in the last eight months. Car has died again, no power to anything. There has to be a deeper underlying problem. Nothing turns on, although the dome lights are receiving some power as they turn on. What could the underlying issue be and how would I go about figuring it out?
