Give me exactly waht it will or won't do. I feel that it may need an ignition module but be more specific about the symptons without voltage readings.

Those 1.3 have a high timing belt failure. Pull the distributer cap turn the engine so the timing mark is on TDC and insure the rotor is pointing to #1 cyl. Good luck

There should be 12V to the distributer. Check all fuses especially to the ECM

The GM geo metro of that year is the same vehicle and the wiring the ame. The 12V comes from the ignition switch.

As much as I hate to say it, it might be the little processor.

u said the #'s on the ecu were different than the one on your original ecu? there are several ecu's for these vehicals! u need the correct one!! my mother in-law has a sidekick and i had the same problems as you! i've got on line and had the same luck as you are! i even found a way to test the ignitor with a battery and a volt meter! in the end after weeks of searching i found the correct ecu pluged it in and she fired up and ran!!!!

Suggested Repair

Install the correct ECM/ECU for this 1993 Suzuki Swift 1.3; several ECUs exist and a used unit with different part numbers will not restore spark. Code 41 means no distributor signal. Also confirm pickup air gap (about 0.008 in), coil and pickup resistance, fuses, and ignition-switch power before replacing other parts.

Conversation Summary

A 1993 Suzuki Swift 1.3 had no spark while cranking, though the fuel pump primed and dash lights worked. A new igniter, good fuses, normal coil and pickup resistance, and a moving distributor rotor did not restore spark. Key-on distributor voltage matched the manual (about 0.04-0.08V), not 12V. Code 41 indicated no distributor signal. A used computer with different numbers also failed. An expert suspected the processor, and another owner reported the same no-spark problem was fixed only after installing the correct ECU.
