It involves a lot of work. I would suggest if you wish to do the work yourself that you get a manual. You need to take off the valve cover gasket, remove the intake and exhaust manifold, the distributor, the timing belt, timing belt covers and then you can take off the head.
The head must be taken to a shop to have them check it for any possible warping and cracks. So it is a little work. Not hard, but involved.
