I just bought this car off my cousin for a hundred bucks and he says that the heads are gone bbut the car cranks with a little hesitation it runs it idles fine but the is coolant in the oil, could the head gaskets just be blown it over heated like three time on him and he took it to two shop and the they both told him the heads were blown but see I have worked on chevys and if there heads are blown they won't run or start let alone idle there is smoke when it cranks.

The presence of coolant in the engine oil should confirm the cylinder head/gasket distorted. It could also be that during the previous repairs on the cylinder head, some damage could have been made that is causing the leak. Looks like you should consider another car, given the age of this one!
