Thank you very much I will be replacing this piece tomorrow. Only problem I ran into is the metal protective shield has been welded on. Any ideas to get it off?

Ok, do you have any way of checking for spark? Ignition module is a very common failure for this issue as well.

Not really without seeing it. Don't know why it would be welded on though.

Hello Mr Steve I've replaced my starter and my alternator. It cranks but won't start I was being told my battery was good got it charged at autozone after the alternator was replaced. Then I learned today when I picked it up that it has a dead cell. I placed the battery from my trail blazer in it it still cranks but don't start. Any ideas?

You need to discover what is missing, fuel or spark. A fast way to do that is to just spray a little starting fluid into the air intake while someone cranks the engine. If it tries to run you have a fuel issue. After that it's time to check for fuel pressure.
