I have a 2000 Jetta IV GSL 1.8T with 93,000. I have noticed an increasing squeaking sound coming from the suspension. It gets worse after driving a while and basically sounds like an old bed or screan door for lack of a better description. I am thinking that it is from the shocks but not sure. Are there grease fitting on this car or is that a thing of the past with newer cars?

I have a 2000 Jetta IV GLS 1.8T with 93,000 miles. I am having to add a couple of quarts of oil in between oil changes and am wondering if the head gasket needs replacing or is it a cylinder ring issue. There are no noticeable leaks but if I step on the gas there is noticeable smoke coming out the exhaust. It still gets good gas mileage and no other issues.

Could be the turbo doing that. Your squeek, could be the sway bar, aside from that you will have to look for grease fittings, but dont think you will find any
