Accelerating issue

When I mash the gas pedal it want go any faster.

Hi:

Is there any response? For example, do the RPM's increase without the vehicle not speeding up? Does the engine not change at all? Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

Also, what is the correct mileage? If it is nearing 2 million miles, that's an issue. LOL
I need to know. It helps me focus more specifically on what could be an issue.
