The taillights do not work?

The taillights don't work the rest of them do.

What have you tried so far? By "the rest of them", do you mean the brake lights or the front running lights? Any history or observations that led up to this? Do the dash lights work? Of special interest, does the radio display dim when you turn on the tail lights or head lights?
