The car seemed fine then I pulled into get gas and then car wouldn't start. I jumped it but nothing. Recent history: I've been running out of gas a lot lately for 2 weeks due to non-working gas gauge and also when I push gas pedal it jumps kicks or something like that and I let off gas and slowly push it then it's fine and this is only from a stopped position. We drained the battery using power inverter and had the battery charged overnight and did not start. All fuses and relays look good, and no other issues start. I'm not sure what it could be.

Hello,

You do not specify if the engine is cranking and not starting or if the engine does not crank over?

If the engine cranks over but does not start your description of running out of fuel a lot recently it would point towards a possible faulty fuel pump in the fuel tank.

First check that the fuel pump fuse, fuse 34(20A) located in the engine fuse/relay box, is still intact, see picture below.

Fuse information.

Thank you for responding. Yes, it cranks but no start. The battery we charged went dead fast but did not start. Fuse is good and relay is good. Took off fuel filter which looks like it's never been changed and cranked no start, but no gas came out of fuel line. I'm assuming the fuel pump, which is not good. Yes, when it rains it for because I am living in my car and can't get it fixed.

Hello,

To replace the in-tank fuel pump you will need to drop the fuel tank for access.

A good how to is below.

So, my blonde self, connected the positive battery cable to the negative post and cable to the positive tried to start the car post and tried to start car. The wipers came on and wouldn't shut off. I realized it and connected right now the car won't turn anything on lights or anything. No blown fuses but the battery to begin with was 8 volts. It took 2 hours to charge from 7.2 v to 8 v.

Hello,

With reverse polarity connected to a battery you could have damaged various control modules.

I would suggest first check that the three main fuses in the engine fuse box have not blown.
Fuse 15, 60A
Fuse 16, 30A
Fuse 17, 100A

See image below.

Also check that the battery is in good condition.
If the battery is under voltage the control modules will not switch on.
