Took my car to get aligned. The next morning it would not start. My husband, who is a mechanic, fooled with it. Got it started, turn it off. Same thing. Acted like it had a short. Changed crankshaft sensor and pig tail. Started twice, then would not start again. Any suggestions?

Scan for codes to see if any sensors are screwing up then try a security system reset they can cause this as well. I am assuming battery is clean and in good shape see link.

No codes. Not getting any fuel. Going to try and find camshaft sensor and check on fuel delivery. Will check security system.

Security may be the reason for no fuel so check security first.

Okay, spray choke cleaner into throttle if it starts then your fuel pump may have gone out if it starts then make a fist and pound bottom of gas tank it may free up pump for a little while.

I had that same problem with my 2001 rodeo sport. It would be fine, then I'd go to turn on and it would act as if out of gas. I'd have it towed to mechanic (I'd purchased extended warranty), he'd call me in a while and ask what was wrong-that it had no problem starting. I went through that at least 7 times then it stopped. One day around one year later it did it again. No way-I, went under hood; tapped on every lid and hose and it never happened again. I still have my isuzu-15 years old. Mine is only 4 cyl, manual transmission, zero extras (roll down your own window, no air conditioner, I wanted no more electronics than I had to have). Anyway-the reason I hit hoses and lids was I figured every ime I'd towed it, it had been jiggled around. Bubbles?

Hi Ken. I haven't had a problem with my car since I hit the tops of everything under the hood. Bfore that they had replaced everything pertaining to the fuel lines etc. I DO have a major problem now. My car had a code of cam position sensor and won't pass smog. I don't know how to take the lid that's covering the sensor. I have the picture of where it is. Can you tell me how to take the black cover off the thing. Sorry bout the technical words. Haha Thank you, Lori
