Common Subaru problems?

I am considering buying a 1985 Subaru wagon 1.8l/ 5spd w/ 140k on it, and was wondering what some of the most common and expensive problems are for this yr / model of Subaru. I've never owned a Subaru before, and really don't know what their traditional problem areas are.

They are bullet proof noisy little cars. the only problems I have heard about is the timng belt if it has an overhead cam. The engine is a horizontal opposed 4 cyl like a VW except it is liquid cooled.
