Is there a procedure for removing all the hoses and lines blocking access to the adjustment screws? Will the engine run properly with them off so I can make the necessary adjustments which must be done with the engine running at operating temperature?

OK, so here it is. I was able to get to the fast idle adjustment located on the passenger side of the carb. It's very tight but if you unplug a small vacuum line located just in front of it you can get a torx fitting with a small ratchet on the adjustment screw and turn it. I made a rough estimate with the engine off and then had to go back in and turn it up a little. I may have to do it again after I check the cold start in the morning.

I greased all the linkages this time. You suggested lubricating them early on when I reported the cold start fast idle hanging up. I used penetrating oil the first time and apparently it didn't last.

Now, I'm pretty sure it's running rich. Aside from the telltale smell, if I close off the choke on the primaries it stalls almost immediately. But getting to the two mixture adjustment screws in the front looks like it could be a problem. There's a rat's nest of plumbing and wiring blocking the view and I'm pretty sure the engine won't run if I disconnect everything that's in the way. Is there a procedure or do I need a special tool (a snake driver, perhaps) that will get the job done?

Thanks,

Another question. I bumped the rear bumper, not hard enough to damage the bumper or trim but enough to push in one side. Itried bumping the other side hoping to pop it out but it just seemed to push it in further. All I want to do is pull it out so it's even again. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
