Engine Cooling problem
1997 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has been overheating so a friend of mine said it was the thermostat. I bought one and when he tried to fix it he said there isn't one in my car. Well then he tried to do a radiator flush which for some reason he couldnt and now my car wont hold any water or anti freeze at all. It all just runs right to the ground. What could be causing that and how do I determine where the leak is comming from.

You need to get your heating core fixed. Your heating core has a crack or two. My car did the same, I had the heating core taken off and found a crack in mine. Once I had that fixed, I had no prob.
