Engine Cooling problem
1997 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 1ook miles

overheats turn on heater and does not help, turn on a/c and it cools down. Flushed and checked levels did not help. Any Ideas because it looks like the termostate is also working.

Check and see if your cooling fan is turning on. Sounds like when you turn your A/C on it turns on the cooling fan and cools it down. See if it turns on without the A/C. This may be your problem
