I recently started having problems starting my car listed above TDI B7 multitronic. After cranking a while it would eventually start. A mechanic suggested we change the fuel filter and that did not work. He then check the timing belt and saw that it was way out so he set the timing and it is not starting at all. He now tells me that the pistons are bent. Do you think this is right if not what is your opinion?

Hmm. That seems strange can you make a video of the engine cranking over so I can see what it is doing? I think you may have a fuel pressure sensor that is not working.

Here is the location.

I would run the codes to see what comes up as well.
