Had the Jeep for a while, driven here and there. Throttle cable broke, while replacing it, a cpl wires where shorting out. Further inspection showed my ignition module was melting. Decided to convert to hei using the 4 pin ignition module. Went ahead and replaced the plugs, wires, and ignition coil. Followed several diagrams to a T. When I tried to start it, engine spins over, but no spark! Cleaned all grounds, double checked all connections, everything seems correct. Why am I not getting spark?

I came back to this post, earlier I popped in on Renee's answer when I clicked on her link. I scrolled up and saw JUSTICE LOOKIN.

I guess I failed to look the whole thing over. I now see "JAMIETCJ7" entered the garage first!

I guess what I need to know is Who is Who so I'll know how many Jeep people and how many different Jeeps are present on this post.

I'm here to help anybody with a Jeep CJ if I can, I just don't want it to get all confused up while trying!

CJ Medevac! Man am I glad to finally hear from you! I've read hundreds of posts where you help others with their questions on cjs.
I myself own a 1983 cj7, prior to purchasing it, I had a 1965 cj5 with the f-head 134 cubic inch 4 banger. Also had the T-18 tranny! Granny low first, but a 4 speed! The previous owner of my 83 wide trac swapped in a ford 302 with a ford 5 speed. Still have the 300 transfer case.
I have figured out my issue, it was wiring related. Seeing the Jeep sit there killed me, so I fooled with it daily until i. Finally figured it out! It now has push button start, two toggle switches, and a hole lot of new parts lol. There are several other plans I have for the beast as I'm sure you can advise me with. Thanks for the reply! Happy Jeepin!
My current inventory is a's follows

1950 willy's Jeepster. All original with the flat head "super sonic" 6. 3 on the tree with over drive. Runs like a top and is definitely a head turner.

Next is the 1983 cj7 with the ford 302. It's a beast! Sprung over, on 35 15.50s!

Last but not least, a 2001 jeep sahara.
I call it my grocery getter lol. It's bone stock, auto trans. Even stock, has good flex lol. Big future plans for this little 4.0!

So I take it that "JAMIETCJ7" is also you?

I'm not much on Wranglers 1987 on up.

Your Jeeps really look cared for. I like that!

Your Jeepster is mind boggling!

If you ever have a "Grinch-like" big giveaway heart experience you be sure to send that puppy to me!

I'm glad to see others read my posts and seem to like them.

I'm not much of a writer, I sometimes get way out there, I hope others might have the same kind of mindset I have and are able to decode my stuff.

Has anything I wrote in particular influenced something you did for your Jeeps?

On your CJ, do your fuel and temp gauges work in your cluster? I may have found a good fix for them.

I don't know how recent of a pic you have seen of "Willy". Exterior wise I'm pretty satisfied with him. I think I'm about to think about the transmission, transfer case and rear axle. I'm pretty sure I've been riding on the original stuff since 1993. At the time I saw no need in building that stuff with it still working well!
