2000 Nissan Maxima Rattling noise

My car has started to make a rattling noise and it sounds like it is comming somewhere from the back of the car it sounds kinda like something is loose or something and I wanted to know what this possibly could be. I also noticed the the muffler seems to be getting louder and louder on my car and I'm wondering what is the cost to replace or patch a muffler?

If exhaust is getting louder and thers a rattle chances are the muffler is bad. You can get one for 30 bucks but if you go with a dealership expect around 200 dollars. If you go to a muffler shop maybe 100
