I recently replaced the water pump, thermometer, gaskets and belt. After flushing the coolant, I noticed a leak and had to reseal the thermometer gasket. Antifreeze got all over the engine, including the belt. I think I've tightened the belt enough, but it still squeaks for a few seconds when the car is started cold. When the AC is turned on, it squeaks even more, but not after the car is warmed up. The car was not squeaking at all before I had to replace the water pump. What could this be? Just replace the belt or tighten it more? Or is this a more serious problem?

Try cleaning the pulleys real good with carb spray.Might have contaminated the belt, but try tightening it a little bit to see if the noise goes away after you clean the pulleys
