99 Cherokee Sport 4.0 142,000 mi.

Had trouble with idle racing. Replaced TPS, now idles fine. Now occasionaly when I'm at a stop the idle is good, but the motor seems to shake and a knocking comes from under the shifter (automatic trans). Occasionaly smell of fuel. Lasts for a few days then goes away. Any help much appreciated.

Sounds like a misfire maybe. May want to have the codes checked to help narrow down a possible problem.

These are fairly common for carbon build up on the intake valves, Seafoam is a good product for that.
