I drive the car everyday. It seems like on colder days the car is "slow" to start - it cranks a little slower than normal & sometimes even takes 2 tries. It's been 30 degrees for the last 3-4 days & I haven't driven the car, now it won't start at all. When I crank the engine it almost seems like it's frozen, only cranks a little bit & doesn't turn over. It cranks very very slow. Battery works fine, I replaced it last year and all accessories work but the guages all go dead like it's a dead battery.
I'm stumped, but I have to think it has to do w/ the cold.

Based on your description, either the battery is too weak or the starter is going bad. First, make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. Next, place the battery on charge to fully charge it. Then see if it starts. If it still does the same thing, remove the battery and have it load tested at the local parts store. If it is good, remove the starter and have it bench tested to make sure it isn't drawing too many amps.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

I'm having the same exact problem. I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I noticed on cold days the vehicle won't start. It's a crank/no start. Now yesterday, the weather dropped to 26 Degrees and now the vehicle won't even crank. It just won't start period. I ran my multimeter on the battery and it reads, 12.2 Volts. I know that the battery is about 75%. Not Good! My question is. How do I get the battery to regain its juice back? Also, do you think I need a new one?
