1993 Jeep Cherokee Ignition failure - Powers On though

I tried to start my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee and when I turn the ignition the car powers up, locks work, windows work, etc, but the engine wont start. There is absolutely no noise such as a grinding sound. Any ideas?

Give more information. Does it turn over, does it try to fire? Are the lights dim? Your battery could be low.
