Check the "ballast coil relay" on figure 1 of the diagrams to see if it's closing. What I have done in the past is pop the plastic cap off the relay so you can physically see if the relay is working. Makes them a lot easier to test. Both the fuel injection module and the ignition coil get their signal to pulse/spark from the pickup in the distributor. Also, a common failure is the ignition amplifier. I'm going to fax you some more "stuff", attn. Emma. I'll try to get it out yet tonight.

Hi James, you should be getting tired of this Jaguar by now? Anyway we are getting the coldest days thus far, in the teens here in Charlotte N.C so I wouldn't be messing with the car the rest of the week. I've got some more test in mind, plus the latest update from you. I will let you know the outcome, also how do I give feedback on all your help given. I'm trying to use my Paypal account to give a donation, but having a little trouble getting things to work thus far.

In the teens, huh? When I got up the morning, it was -24F in Minnesota. Even the dogs won't go out. Anyway, I'm having download problems AGAIN. As soon as I get it figured out, I'll send you some more information.

Hi James, we had a 45 degree day today, so I took advantage of it. I unplugged all the injectors and using a Noide light test the injectors one at a time. I got a faint pulse from each injector. I then went a head and replace the pick-up coil in the distributor and still no power to the fuel pump and faint pulse to the injectors. I then took the top off the mass air flow meter, sprayed either into the throttle body while the engine was running moved the lever and the car stayed running, till let it go. Problem was a bad mass air flow sensor. Turns out that it triggers the injectors and trigger the fuel pump relay. No need to fax anymore
information. Also I made a donation to the cause. I'll be in touch from time to time. Thanks a gain for all your help and suport.
