Low fuel pressure can cause hard starting, a rough idle, misfiring, hesitation and stalling. No fuel pressure will prevent the engine from starting, or will cause the engine to quit running if the fuel pump fails while driving.
You did good diagnosis by pumping the gas pedal.
The problem is fuel delivery related.
Thing like fuel pump. Fuel filter, restricted fuel line, or low voltage at the pump if the pump is good.
You have engine light, find what the code says for further help.
