Make Elantra year 2000 2ltr

Hi, The drivers side electric window is failing to come up, upon operating the button I can hear the motor attempting to move (I think). Could the glass have just fell out of the runner? and how easy is it to reseat? Is the motor replacement a big job. Being the drivers side it has the switches for the other windows as well as the window lock and door locking mechanism. That is why I am reluctant to start messing without more information.

Thanks and regards
Eugene..

With a little help from someone else and you can do it yourself, take off the inside panel of the door. Usually a couple of screws and pull the bottom loose. You need to see what is happening inside the door. Window off the track is fairly easy to reseat and glue. It is possible that the window drive assembly is bad and that is usually a complete replacement. No individual parts are generally sold.
