Hi bandit124,

There is a possibility the control solenoids are faulty which would be a cheaper fix. However you need to get it diagnosed to confirm the cause.

Does the D4 light blinks while driving? Did yo try to retrieve for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)?

Hi thanks for replying

no the d4 light does not blink whilst im driving, and no I have not aquired the codes, but since writing the original email I bought some wynns transmission fix which you add straight to the transmission oil what is already in. Since adding this the gearbox is slipping in all gears, and at one point I had to pull up on a hill because it would not go into gear.

Please help

Transmission nowadays are very sensitive and do not take lightly to additives. Wrong use of fluids can cause erratic shifting problems as well.

Only recommended fluids are supposed to be used and now that you have added in oil teatments and it is causing more problem, it would be advisable to replace the trans fluid with the recommended type and hope the trans works.

In this case flushing would be advisable as well.

If you start out easy on accelerator the transmision does not slip, but with a quick acceletation it slips slightly, I have had no leakage at this point. I take it that there is no fluid dip stick?

Hi Frank Maness,

It could be due to low fluid level or the trans is going out.

There is a dipstick that you can use to check the fluid level. Look somewhere under the battery on trans housing.
