My sons 93 Accord will not start. We have had the car for about a week. It developed a overheating problem after the third day. We found at least part of the problem to be a bad heater control valve. After replacing the valve the car seemed to run ok and then overheated again(heater control valve failure once again). Our mechanic bypassed the heater control valve by splicing a piece of metal pipe in between the two hoses(waiting on replacement part from Honda). Again for about a day the car ran fine. My son drove the car to school with no problem. That evening the car would not start.I had him listen to see if the fuel pump was making any sound and he said it was. The car will crank but will not start, what should I do next?Thank you for any help on this.

Hi truckguy728,

When engine would not start, you need to check what is missing. Here is a link from where you can find out what to test.

If problem is fuel related, check the PGM-FI main relay. Known to intermittently fail. Resoldering the circuit board would solve the problem if it is the cause.
