No speedometer

2001 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 186000 miles

While driving my van with air coditioning on and running fine. All of a sudden the ac was not cool anymore and the speedometer and odometer stopped working. The ac fan still runs but no cool air and the Overdrive light is blinking and appears to no go into overdrive. Yes, check engine lite came on.

The code says vehicle speed sensor circuit faulty and or no input. Can you help? I just got laid off from my job and cannot afford to go to dealer or shop.

I fix pumps and steam turbines as my job and have plenty of time and tools. Where do I go from here? What do I check?

Autozone says the VSS should be changed but that won't fix the ac. I'm thinking a fuse or relay?

Please help.

I just found fuse #10 driver side under dash is blown 15A Why?
