I shall be very grateful, if you could help me in this regard. I bought this Ford Windstar 1999. Hence, after a week, that was during my everyday routine engine check before driving the car. I start up the engine and while it is running I lifted the oil gauge and got surprised that smoke comes out. Do I have then a problem on the PCV valve or EGR valve that has to be replaced.
Your early reply is highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards. More power.L

It could possibly be a pcv valve but with the mileage on the van it could very likely be blowby where upon the compression stroke of the engine some of the air fuel mixture blows by the piston rings check pcv first then run compression test to check wear on rings.
