1999 Ford Taurus Oil leak

Hello,

Engine has an oil leak. It only leaks immediately after I shut off the engine, then a small stream of oil comes out (not just a drip, but a stream) for a minute or two, then stops. I does not leak while engine is running. Total oil loss is about 1/4-1/3 of a cup before it stops.
Would like an idea of what's going on before I take it to a mechanic.

Where is the oil coming from?

Hard to tell what it is unless you can tell me where its coming from or get pictures.

Sorry,
It is from the center of the engine toward the right. About a foot from the right wheel. I have looked at it while it is leaking but can't find the source.
Other fluids are OK.
