I was wondering if there is a typical oil leak for 1996 Taurus' with the V6?

Hi there,
There is no typical leak, just wash down the engine and check for leaks after a drive, it will be easier to locate where there coming from on a clean engine, if any leak is a common leak I suppose I would be checking the rocker covers first.

Two places ive found common to leak on taurus front of oil pan the gasket is known to wok its way out making it look like a front seal dont be fooled if this is your problom to prevent from happening againg lightly pean up the end of pan where it is half round install new gasket the second is common on many cars the valve cover gasket are known to lek on the 3.0
