2.7L engine. 53k miles. I've been told that this was 9 hour job or so. I cannot afford a mechanic to do this for me. Does anyone have ANY information on how to go about this, or some kind of parts breakdown or repairing ANYTHING? I need to get this fixed this week.

You need help my friend. The thing is alot of stuff has to b done to even get to it. You have to stip everything to expose the timing chain, rotate the engine till the thing is at tdc, the three plates lined up, and then realease the tensoner on the right head. Then don't turn the engine at all! Then change the pump, reinstall the chain.I have no clue as to this procedure. And replace allthe crude that you had to pull to get to it. It's more Like 4 hours for a good amerture.
Now you know why I only ever bought one chrysler.
