Radiator fan roaring

Hello,

I have a problem with the (electric) radiator fan making a nasty roaring noise when the car accelerates - the fan spins faster proportionally to the speed of the car making more noise than the engine. It seems that the problem began when I sprayed a bit of WD-40 into the fan's axle. Is this problem electric (maybe the fan is supposed to be inhibited from spinning freely electrically) or is it just not supposed to be lubricated.

Thank you, Hrvoje

It is a sealed unit that doesn't require lubrication. With the engine off. And fan off, rock the fan and see if there is any play in the bearing for the fan.

Sorry, it's not a fan; I blocked it with rope and the sound remained. You can delete this post and i'll make the new one. Thank you
