I have a question about my recently purchased F250, I have already replaced all of the seals and gaskets on the carb and it ran fine for a day or two, but now it starts right up when cool, but when hot it struggles to start. It also doesn't allow me to accelerate at all, it struggles, sputters, and seems like it's going to die. I have replaced the fuel filter, air filter, all the seals on the carb, checked for vacuum leaks, tested my fuel pump I also checked the distributor for cracks and carbon build up, and I'm still stumped. Can you help PLEASE?

Hi cproctor,

Was the carb float adjust correctly?

Is the air fuel ratio adjusted correctly? Shold be done when engine is hot.

Is the carb accelerating pump working well?

Are the plugs misfiring? Cabes ok?

Did you check the ignition timing and distributor vacumn for leakage?

Check distributor advance mechanism.
