1998 ford escort battery

Ok i have a 1998 ford escort zx2 with 121000 miles on it its a 2 door .manual.
I recentrly put a new cd player in my car... Well it worked good for a few months then i took it out and put it back in... Now when i leave my car sit for liki more then 10 hours my battery goes dead unless i pull my fuse out for my cd player or unhook it everythime i get out. any ideas?

Not sure if this might help. Does your CD player works even if you turn off your ignition key? If yes, then you connected the (+) accessory wire and the (+) battery wire together. Usually red and yellow wire. Accessory (+) wire should be connected to (+) 12v in which it should turn off (no power) when ignition key is off. A good source for (+) accessory wire is the (+) wire of the cigarette lighter. Just make sure you still have the (CD player) fuse between the (+) accessory source and the CD player.
