Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have Dodge Ram 01' 3/4 ton thats battery was dead. I charged it and started the truck like normal and was letting it run for a sort time when the truck just shut down. I tried to start it again and it would not start. I acts like it wants to but it just does not start. There is plenty of gas, the starter is turning, and the lights all come on in the truck. It wants to start it just will not. What could it be? I need help?

Lets do below for a start to determine if its fuel or spark related issue and get back asap.

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
