My truck did not pass inspection. The Computer showed a fualt in the temp sensor (ECT), I put in a new sensor and now the truck will start when cold and run fine, but when engine gets hot and you shut it off it will not start. When I do get it started after several tries it is loaded up with gas and runs rough. The computer now is showing a code that the computer is reading that the truck is trying to start at -40 when hot. Can you tell me what the problem is? Jeff

-40 degrees is the default reading when there's an open circuit. The new sensor could be open, but more likely there's a spread terminal in the connector or a pin in the sensor is bent over.
