Removing and replacing the rightside PW motor, theirs a retaining plate with holds in the cable assy to the motor housing. By removing this plate, do I just slide out the cable assy and place it inside the new motor housing? I went to the Dodge dealership and their responce was they replace the whole harness assy as one unit because if the motor and cable assy isn't "timed" correctly the window will probably only go partially up or down, or go down and not go up.

This is directly from the service manual.

The window motor is incorporated into the window regulator assembly If the window motor requires replacement, the window regulator must be replaced.

I realize that the dodge manual states to replace the motor with regulator, still all these items are sold seperately so how is the motor replaced?

Make sure the tension is released and pull it straight out. There is a square drive that goes into the plastic gear.
