My fifth ave has been converted to an electric ignition.
It starts fine when the engine is cold, but after diving for awhile and shut it off and try to restart it wont. Starter turns over fine but it wont start. I'm thinking its the Ballast Resistor but iI would like a second opinion.

Every Chrysler product has had electronic ignition since 1973; Dodges since 1972. What exactly do you mean "it's been converted"?

Ballast resistors did give a lot of problems in the early years, but by 1980, they used a reliable single resistor and the problem no longer occurred. When they failed, they failed, ... Period. If it started cold, it was good. Not starting only when warm has nothing to do with the resistor.

In 1988, there were two 5th Avenues, the older rear wheel drive, similar to the Dodge Diplomat, and the front wheel drive, similar to my Dynasty. Which one do you have?
