I have a 1990 New Yorker- 3.3 -159K-My car will not start unless jumped or a freshly charged battery installed. We have had the battery and alternator checked and both test fine. After the vehicle does run and you try to resart it, there is absolutley no power and no noise. I am at wits end. This has been a decent car and is fuel efficient. Any input will be appreciated.

Something eating up the battery. Do this disconnect the negative battery cable-put a test lite between the cable and neg. Batt. Post is the test lite-if so you have an electrical short-now start removing fuses one at a time-the fuse that turns off he lite is your problem circuit.

Further check the ignition switch/neutral safety switch/starter relay/starter itself.
